An American family in Miami is seeking an experienced, qualified and mature British nanny to care for their 1st baby, due in November. They would love for their nanny to be fluent in French and to immerse the child in the language as much as possible as they grow.

The household dynamic is informal and relaxed, the nanny be comfortable working symbiotically with the mom, offering support guidance and expertise but also knowing mom has the final say. The ideal candidate will be experienced with newborns and babies, have excellent references and previous experience working with high profile families.

A kind, caring, flexible and discreet nanny that can support and advise the family where necessary, at home and whilst traveling abroad is essential as well as all current CPR classes and newborn experience.

They are looking for live-in, offering your own room with private bathroom, as well as a bed in child’s room to be used when needed. The working schedule will be 6 days per week, with flexibility needed here and there.

Location: Studio City, CA

Temp Position Los Angeles –  We have a 10 day live in position starting August 17th through 26th in Studio City with an amazing 4 year old boy. Both parents are out of town so they need someone reliable, Independent, highly communicative and safety conscious that they can rely on. They will have a family friend pop by here and there to give you some down time but you will primarily be responsible for him.

He will be finished with Summer School so the days will be flexible and open to suggestions! A typical day would fall along the lines of wake up, prepare a semi-decent breakfast (not expecting gourmet) then hang at the house for a while, dive into a few games. Then throw some clothes on and seize the day, get outside and active, a strong knowledge of the local area would be fantastic, local parks, activities, and kid friendly hotspots are very easily accessible in Studio City. Healthy lunch, either out and about or back at the house then another activity. He’s a pretty typical 4 year old so you really can’t go wrong with any type of sport, legos, crafts, creating etc! They rest of the day will play out as snack, after TV break, dinner, bath, PJ’s, bed; then you can throw on a movie and chill.

The parent would prefer that guests are not invited over, they would love updates often with plenty of pictures, they don’t leave him that often but they certainly will not micromanage from a distance so expect to be in control and feel comfortable in doing so.

They are offering $250 a day cash so the 10 days will bring in $2,500.

Location: Bel Air, Los Angeles, CA, USA.

Family Seeking Organized, Intuitive, Forward Thinking, Proactive and Intelligent Nanny for their 2 tween boys.

Schedule is Monday – Friday 7am – 6pm and Thursdays 2pm – 6pm. Live out and pay comes out to be around $55k a year. 

They are open to male or female nannies. You would typically come in at 7am, get the kids ready for school, prep breakfast, and take them to school. You would then have the whole day to take care of household projects and light cleaning. There is a housekeeper present that does the heavy duty cleans but bed making, children’s laundry, dishes would fall to you; as well as errands, scheduling maintenance on the home, grocery shop and regular check-ins with mom. M/Nanny must be very proactive, do not wait to be asked to do something, take charge and get it done!

When school is over, you will pick up and bring them home / shuttle to activities. You would then be responsible for them and their output for the evening, ensuring homework is completed well, picking up after them, keeping up with their manners, being firm when needed as they’re tween boys so you need to balance that line between being an educator, disciplinarian, but also fun, relaxed and trustworthy. Both parents are busy on their own careers, the mother is spending time at home with the baby currently. Their toddler has school during the day so a working day would begin with heading to the house to prepare snacks and head to do school pick up around 2pm.

They are looking for someone to be with them full-time, at least 40 hours a week, offering as much assistance as you can in these early stages so that mom can have some downtime; but you’ll certainly be mostly responsible for the toddler. They would also like somebody with a strong understanding of the RIE approach to raising a child, and someone fully comfortable with adopting this approach. A calm and centered nanny is needed for this family, nobody too intense or larger than life; it’s a very zen, chilled out vibe.

A second language is desirable, so long as English is fluent in both written and verbal.

A typical weekly schedule would be Monday – Friday 11am-8pm, they would like to offer $20-25 per hour for the right person, along with a car usage and insurance stipend after a successful trial period.

Busy family in Pasadena need professional, experienced, reliable, flexible Nanny to help them get through the summer! They have 10-year-old twins, boy and girl. Their pay range is $20-$25 per hour gross. It’s a temporary position but there’s an option to extend into full-time after the summer if the schedule works for everybody.

They are looking for an extra hand over these days:

Typical duties will consist of camp pick-ups and shuttling to various other activities (sports practices etc) Bring the children home and prepare dinner, play and at times ensure bath and bed routine is underway. You would also need to be on top of their scheduling. You will be required to use your own car and be reimbursed accordingly, so an impeccable driving record is a must, along with a reliable vehicle.
Both parents are very busy and schedules fluctuate massively, so somebody that go with the flow and be able to turn on a dime is a must!
Light personal assisting duties may be required such as grocery shopping and checking house is adequately stocked with cleaning supplies and toiletries.

 

In addition to the above responsibilities, you would take on more of a House Management/ PA role, be responsible for all schedules, organizing, errands and scheduling maintenance for the home and grounds. You would also need to have experience in pet care, arranging grooming and vet visits. Personal Assisting duties include but not limited to most home related tasks- grocery shopping, meal planning, car washes and maintenance checks, school pick-ups, sending receipts to accountants, maintaining house binder, archiving children’s art, sorting clothes for donation etc. They have a housekeeper so laundry, excessive cleaning etc is not necessary.

The ideal summer nanny would be able to think on their feet, act autonomously but keep in close contact with parents and assistants, be a fun-loving, easy-going, flexible team player but also keep the kids in check when needed. Nanny may need to stay late some weekdays depending on parent’s schedule but mom and dad try to be home as often as they can. High profile experience is essential to this position. Understanding how to act around high profile, the level of discretion needed, and the professionalism to this role is of the upmost importance.

Special requests from the children, someone cool, someone that can play basketball and let them use their iPads a lot (this request is something that the parents would NOT like you to enable!)

A family in Culver City are looking for a supportive, patient, encouraging and intelligent manny for their 12-year-old grandson.

He has mild Autism, he goes to school during the day so the dream scenario for them would be after-school care, typical times would be 2:00-6:00.  Position is approximately 20 hours per week.

You would be responsible for teaching a healthy routine, self-care, hygiene, strong meals, ensure self-sufficient organization. School pick-up is around 3:30, you would then be responsible for taking him to activities or home, preparing a healthy wholesome snack, ensuring homework completion, prepping for the next day, laying clothes out, planning ahead etc.

The Grandparents are looking to reduce his screen time and encourage physical activity. He very much enjoys photography, video games, music and specifically the works of Frank Sinatra. He is not big into sports and tends to keep to himself. What they’re really looking for is a Big Brother / Companion that can give him confidence in himself and generally boost him in a positive direction.
